We traveled around the Hauraki gulf in Auckland,NZ catching large 2foot Snapper -Nz's most common edible fish.
My dad had a work-friend that was already fishing on the water so we traveled to join them My dad's friend had a boat that was similar to ours -it was the larger version of the mason Marlin it was a Mason Clipper.
Anyway we decided to do a joint adventure to Great Barrier Island a two hr journey to NZ's largest offshore Island sanctuary -one of the only places where NZ's rarest native animals can thrive without the dangers of Rats, stoats and cats.
It was my first time there it is an island with a small human popn. and can only be reached by a private boat or a commercial plane.
It was a great place full of mystery and wonder the only blight was a mysterious Pink algal bloom in the water that me and the other voyagers were hesitant to swim in.
The real beauty that Great Barrier has to offer can only be seen at night a sight I have never seen anywhere else in the world.
Any movement or disturbance in the water is florescent blue the wake of our boats was Bright fluro blue the dripping of urine upon the water was blue it was a strange sight to behold so me and a friend of mine decided to jump into the water our bombs and dives were blue and all the trapped bubbles of air were blue
-I know I'm waffling on a bit but I'm trying to say that It was a truly amazing sight and would have been a great photo opportunity
Thus arises my point during the entire journey of going to and being at great Barrier I did not take a single picture. My camera which was close by was unused.
The most amazing phenomenon I have ever seen in my life was not photographed once!
I'm so angry It's been three days and I'm still kicking myself over it.
RAAAAAAAGE!
Ps has anyone seen the phenomenon that I'm describing before?

True happiness requires that you don't look back or forward; you just have to live everyday like it's your last and never have regrets.
So long as there is freedom of speech and expression; We will prosper.
